Frame Mounting & Render Guide Bracket
Introduction
C-FAB Products latest innovative product.
C-FAB products would like to introduce you to an alternative method of preparing openings and the installation of timber frames (as well as various aluminium sections) in masonry constructions. Simply by installing C-FAB products new Frame Mounting Bracket to the opening, will provide attachment points for the frame and a guide for applying any wall finishing, i.e. cement render or similar.
The idea behind the system was to:
- Provide a method where the builder is able to completely finish the opening surround, prior to the installation of the window or door frame, including the laying and finishing of sills.
- Be able to supply the joinery manufacture with an exact frame opening size. Therefore allowing him to proceed with fabrication while the opening is being completed and knowing that upon delivery, each frame will fit the opening.
- Provide a guide for the application of cement render.
- Minimise the vulnerability of the frame and fixtures to damage during construction.
- Eliminate the need to drill and plug the wall, necessary for attachment of the frame to the structure, but in return provide a quick and simple alternative attachment system.
- Give a true and flat surface for the frame to abut.
- In case of accidental damage or necessity, be able to remove the frame from the opening, with out inflicting damage to either the frame or surrounding wall surface, then reinstate the frame and mouldings to their original position.
- Provide a balanced appearance to the perimeter of the opening, in regards to any necessary mouldings surrounding the frame.
With all that in mind the Frame Mounting & Render Guide Bracket was developed.
The photograph on the right shows the frame mounting brackets installed in an opening for a door. The distances between the brackets are to the builder’s discretion, taking into account the intention and purpose of the opening.
With the wall rendering completed, this opening is ready to accept a pair of Cedar French Doors.
